Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work focused on women and girls of color, we were established in September 2007. We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this community.

A Message from the President
Welcome to the Nashville Foundation for Women of Color, Inc. Website!
Thank you for visiting our website. Our mission is to support programs and initiatives that assist women and girls of color in the areas of education, economic empowerment, healthcare, and leadership development. We have hosted several impactful events and are planning even more exciting programs to advance those areas.
As more and more women of color decide to become entrepreneurs, we are developing the Marilyn Robinson Entrepreneurship Institute for Women of Color to address the needs of this growing cohort. This initiative will include: steps for starting a business in the State of Tennessee; gaining status as a certified minority-owned business; and gaining access to capital.
We are also planning an event to support our Danita Marsh Scholarship Program, which was established for female students of color pursuing criminal justice and legal degrees.
We will also be continuing C-Suite, our signature leadership program for professional women and aspiring professional women of color.
We look forward to a great year of community involvement and engagement and we welcome your support!
